I saw this toy and wanted to purchase it for my 2 year old son for his birthday. I read the reviews on Amazon as I always do and decided not to. A few weeks later there was a coupon in the paper for buy one get one free on little tikes toys. I decided to get it for Christmas and I LOVE IT! I have not had any problems with it tipping over. The legs have to be forcefully pulled open and they lock in place. They also have to be pushed hard to close. My very active son bangs it with a hammer and practically climbs on it. It hasn't tipped over yet.The nails are easy to hammer in. My son can even push them in with some effort. The screws go in really easy, also. It's only like 1 1/2 turns and the screw is completely in. So, unlike with other toys, you don't have to keep turning the screw before it does anything. That always confused my son and he would spend 10 minutes just tightening and loosening the screw without ever getting it in or out. The center part of the top is actually a lid that hinges open. It holds all of the accessories. This is perfect for going to the grandparents house since it colapses and carries everything.I strongly recommend this product. This is one of the very few cases that I went against peoples' recommendations and I'm glad.
