I got this for my 2 year old twins. They love it. I anticipated the net coming down from the reviews I read so I super glued it and it seems to have done the job.

I love this product for my 6 year old and 18 mo. old — the problem with the net coming down was very frustrating…UNTIL we used small black electrical ties available at any hardware store to attach the net to the rim. No more net falling down. I did buy additional balls from the Little Tykes website.

We bought this product for my son in September 2008 and have had a number of issues with it due to it’s poor design:

- The locking mechanism to lock the plastic standard in place doesn’t retain the basket at the height you want to set it and keeps sliding down. This is due to the flimsy hollow plastic of the base/standard. The locking mechanism can’t get a good grip on the indentation that was molded to keep it at a certain height.
- The rim is a “break-away” rim that is held up only by a plastic bump. Over time as it wears it leaves the rim sagging down.
- The nets are very difficult to thread through the tiny holes they molded into the rim and are always coming undone.
